Bio

I use my art to bridge a gap between me and the world, to express who I am and tell my story in my own way. I focus on topics such as trauma, grief and selfhood. I explore color, textiles and texture to bring depth to my work, working beyond the limits of a canvas by stepping out of that frame to portray not only myself but the work.

I focus on the relationship between trauma and self image, reflecting on who I am and what has informed my life and actions. Exploring specifically the themes of childhood and generational trauma and the effects of trauma and other experiences on my own identity and the identity and expression of those around me, I try to peel back the layers and reveal who I am and how I perceive the world
